THE APOTHECARY KITCHEN
Ohhhh Apothecary! This sweet couple wanted to update their kitchen and create something fresh, unexpected and functional.
At the time we were so slammed, I just couldn’t fit them into our build schedule but we could design for them…and so we did.
We rolled up our sleeves and designed a beautiful custom kitchen with all the bells and whistles. They were so lucky to have beautiful tall ceilings…it only enhanced the design. We built out a nook around the kitchen sink, created cabinets on either side of the range to hold all her apothecary jars of goods. We took out the walk in pantry/desk area and created a beautiful flush inset pantry. The island was a custom piece filled with drawers to emulate an apothecary shoppe. We used black honed granite on the perimeter and a quartz countertop for the island and range backsplash.
In the end, we ended up stepping in for their contractor to ensure that our design was installed to our design specifications. ( I will never throw a contractor under the bus because it’s doesn’t help matters but communication with clients is so extremely important.)
